JACK BALL
I'm Jack Ball, a dedicated photographer and videographer based in Lubbock, Texas, with a passion for crafting compelling visual stories across a wide range of creative projects. I specialize in narrative film storytelling and editing, bringing a cinematic eye and an editor’s precision to every project I take on. I'm also the owner of Rocketship Productions, my own photography and videography company, where I create high-quality visual content for a diverse range of clients, including Rampage Wrestling, Lufkin Zoo, LoneStar Backyards & Buildings, Texas Tech Graduates, Communities in Schools, and The ToothFairy Foundation. Beyond client work, I'm the creator of Frightening Fictions TV, a YouTube channel where I write, produce, and showcase original short horror films, allowing me to explore genre filmmaking and push my creative boundaries.
I recently graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Media Industries. During my time at Texas Tech, I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling and honed my technical skills in editing, cinematography, and color grading. I've edited and color graded films that have been featured in festivals and competitions, including Mimic, a short film created for the H2C2 48-Hour Film Festival, and The Fool Who Tried, my senior capstone project. I also wrote The Griever, Texas Tech’s first feature-length narrative film, which is set to premiere in Fall 2025.
Whether I’m editing a gripping short film, producing cinematic content for nonprofits, or collaborating on original narrative projects, I bring a deep commitment to storytelling, a sharp editorial eye, and a passion for creating meaningful, emotionally resonant work. As I continue to grow within the creative media industry, I’m excited to keep telling stories that leave a lasting impression.
